Dr. Kovar recently moved to Denver from Boca Raton, Florida and joins the ADCA office at P/SL Medical Center. Originally from the Czech Republic, Dr. Kovar graduated from the Charles University School of Medicine in 1994 and proceeded to complete his Vascular Medicine residency, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Kovar has been actively involved in medical research. He has presented his work at international cardiology meetings and has published articles in medical journals. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Kovar has unique experience in world's health systems practicing medicine also in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.
Dr. Kovar and his wife look forward to raising their son and daughter in Colorado, a place he feels is an ideal location to live and work. This will give him a chance to pursue his outdoor interests including hiking, biking, skiing, and marathon running.
